I discovered this old and tattered armchair at a dumpster even though driving to the beach with my dad and we tossed it into the back of my station wagen.
When I got it household, I cleaned the chair and removed the broken seat and back. I then took a couple of various ethnic textile pieces from my travels and I sewed the fabrics together by hand.
Next, I attached the fabric to the wood with upholstery tacks. Highland Dunes As a final touch, I jarrard wood bench decorated the chair with a couple of vintage pillows.
I really love giving new lives to old things. Which reminds me, the Compai Flickr group referred to as Salvaged From the Street hopes to collect images like this, of things that were provided a new lease on life. Why don’t you join us there so we Highland Dunes can see what you’re creating and inspire every other?
